How to Cancel Your StoryCheck Subscription
Cancel your StoryCheck subscription in under a minute. Log in to the account you signed up with, open Profile, go to the Credits tab, and tap Cancel subscription. Clear step-by-step guide, plus what happens to your billing and credits after you cancel.
Cancelling StoryCheck is self-serve and takes about a minute from your phone or computer. The one thing that trips people up is logging in to the wrong account, so the most important step is signing in with the exact email you used when you signed up and paid. Here is the whole process.
Cancel in 5 steps
Log in to the account you signed up with
Go to storycheck.app/login and sign in with the same email you used to create your account and pay. We email you a 6-digit code, so there is no password to remember. This matters: a subscription can only be cancelled from the account that holds it, so the email has to match the one on your receipt.
Open the account menu
Once you are signed in, tap your initials in the circle at the top right corner of the screen. That opens your account menu.
Tap Profile
In the menu, tap Profile. This opens your account settings page.
Open the Credits tab
On the settings page there are two tabs near the top: Profile and Credits. Tap the Credits tab. This is where your plan and billing live.
Tap Cancel subscription
Scroll to the bottom of the Credits tab and tap the red Cancel subscription link. You may see a one-time offer first; to finish cancelling, choose Cancel anyways, pick a reason if you want, and confirm. You will then see a confirmation that your subscription is cancelled.
What happens after you cancel
What happens next depends on whether you are on a paid plan or still on the $1 trial.
- Paid monthly plan: your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period you already paid for, and your remaining credits are yours to use until then. You will not be charged again.
- $1 trial: the trial ends right away when you confirm, and you will not be charged the monthly price.
Can't find the Cancel subscription button?
- You are logged in to a different account. The cancel option only appears on the account that holds the subscription. Log out and log back in with the exact email on your payment receipt.
- You already cancelled. If your plan is already set to end, the button disappears because there is nothing left to cancel.
- You are on the free plan with no active subscription. There is nothing to cancel and you will not be charged.
- You cannot receive the login code. Check spam, and make sure you are using the email you signed up with. Still stuck? Contact support and we will sort it out for you.
If anything is unclear or the steps do not match what you see, contact StoryCheck support and a real person will cancel it for you or walk you through it. We do not make you call anyone or sit through a retention script.

Where do I cancel my StoryCheck subscription?
Inside your account. Log in at storycheck.app/login, open the menu in the top right, tap Profile, open the Credits tab, then tap Cancel subscription at the bottom. It takes under a minute.
Do I need to log in to cancel?
Yes, and you must log in with the same email you used to sign up and pay. A subscription can only be cancelled from the account that holds it. We send a 6-digit login code to your email, so there is no password needed.
Will I be charged again after I cancel?
No. Cancelling stops all future charges. On a paid monthly plan your access stays until the end of the current billing period you already paid for, then it stops. On the $1 trial it ends immediately and you are not charged the monthly price.
How long does it take to cancel?
Under a minute. It is fully self-serve from your phone or computer, with no phone call, no retention script, and no questions required.
Can I still use StoryCheck after I cancel?
On a paid plan, yes, until the end of your current billing period, and your remaining credits stay usable until then. On the $1 trial, access ends as soon as you confirm the cancellation.
I do not see a Cancel subscription button. What now?
It usually means you are logged in to a different account than the one that pays, or your plan is already set to cancel, or you are on the free plan with no active subscription. Log in with the exact email on your receipt, and if it still is not there, contact support and we will cancel it for you.
